About
Nathan Oldridge, M.Sc., B.Ed., OCT
I'm a teacher in Toronto, Canada. I teach high school Chemistry, Computer Science and Digital Technology.
I like the subjects where a good explanation actually changes things: a student who can name an organic molecule, balance a redox equation, or finally see why an ICE table works doesn't just get a better mark → they stop being afraid of the next unit. That's what I try to do in class, and on ChemistNate.
Credentials & teaching now
- M.Sc. and B.Ed., Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT)
- Currently teaching in Toronto: SCH4U Chemistry, ICS3C / ICS3U / ICS4U Computer Science, ICD2O Digital Technology
- Previously taught Grade 9 Math (MTH1W) and English as a Second Language
YouTube
I run the ChemistNate YouTube channel (Chemistry) → including a long series of Lewis structure videos. I also run the Mr Oldridge YouTube channel (Math).
The idea behind both is the same as my teaching: clear explanations, worked examples, and enough practice that the method sticks.
